About the Experience
No one camps at summits in peak monsoon season, but we do. You have to have a little crazy in you to join this one.
The rationale behind our unwavering decision to camp amidst torrential rains each year since 2007 stems from the profound impact it has on us.
Amidst the majestic landscapes of Maharashtra, we have forged indelible bonds with the great outdoors, with some of our most cherished and personal memories being born during nature's most thunderous symphonies. While it may evoke a hint of trepidation, it ignites within us an effervescent spark, akin to a resplendent firework display.
While denizens of the city hastily seek refuge at the mere sight of heavy precipitation, our yearning to venture into the mountains with our tents, provisions, and equipment only intensifies. For it is upon those lofty peaks that one can encounter vistas and experiences so rare, they become etched in the fabric of one's being, a testament to the extraordinary wonders that nature has to offer.
We believe the best is at the top in the middle of chaos.
We open this as an experience for you because we want to share in our joy with mother nature, and her over-whelming experiences, a feeling that feels home to us.
Where
As usual, we do not disclose the exact whereabouts of the location to protect it. We can tell you it is in the Palghar area & that it will fall within a travel time of 1.5-2 hours from the city. The exact location will be disclosed 2 days prior.
Why we don't disclose locations online & Responsible Outdoor Tourism
If you aren't aware yet, then you should know that we do our best to host our outdoor trips responsibly and reduce the detrimental impact on the environment.
Since the past few years, we have noticed how social media, irresponsible & over-tourism in the Maharashtrian mountains has ruined the great outdoors we have. A significant number of treks in Maharashtra receive thousands of irresponsible humans that cause severe environmental damage.
In order to reduce the impact and not contribute to it, we host our experiences in lesser-known, hidden, or unexplored locations in the mountains.
When you do join us on this trek, there is a very strong ask to keep the whereabouts of the location to yourself only.

The Plan

Depart Mumbai at 12 pm

Arrive at mountain base by 2 pm
-
Hike up with all our gear, food, tents & sleeping equipment for 3 hours until we arrive at the summit

Pitch our tents before dark.

Cook food under a storm if the rain gods allow us

Dine, work towards staying warm & dry and hope to sleep while the clouds roar just above us

Breakfast and enjoy the unbelievable morning sights that are vastly different to our night visions.

Repack all gear & clear up the campsite

Descend and return to Mumbai by late afternoon-evening.

Cost covers your day with us from 2 pm to 2 pm.
Tent & Sleeping gear, Other equipment, Local Travel (Train+VillageTaxi), Food - Dinner & Breakfast.
We have limited seats. If you are interested in joining, you should grab these quickly, especially during the monsoon.
Once your payment is made, you are confirmed for the trip.

What is the Difficulty Level of this ride?We have two versions of this ride: - Relaxed 14 kms - Challenging 32 kms The Relaxed 14 ride is something most people shall be able to do fairly easily. Although there is a significant portion of off-road on this ride, it is not necessarily challenging and can be done at your ease & pace. The Challenging 32 ride is ideal for guests that have an active lifestyle and are interested in a more fast paced & intensive version of this ride. Couch potatoes & folks that live a sedentary life could have a tough time only on the slopes. If you are uncertain about which would be a good fit for you, please feel free to get in touch with us and we would be more than happy to guide you through.

What do I need to bring along?Carry 1-2 litres of water, sunscreen, valid ID card & an awesome morning attitude!

What sort of bikes do you provide?We provide high performance imported Mountain Bikes. We strongly believe in the concept of "Ride Quality". And thus all our bikes are imported and belong to the Top 10 Bicycle brands in the world. Every bicycles has a MRP of between Rs 25,000 - 45,000/- Here are few of our brands: Cannondale, Scott, Mongoose, GT. Go google them! A smooth ride with us is inevitable on this experience

Is the ride route safe?The most tried and tested adventurous cycle routes in Mumbai exist here. No one knows about it, until now, so shush. The islands provide a variety of terrain and scenery that blends together to create a more than awesome cycling experience. The quiet island roads make it both a safe and an ideal place to ride a bicycle.
